Former Indian cricketer and coach Yograj Singh has expressed concern over the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s Test cricket. According to Yograj, the departure of these two senior batsmen can weaken the Indian team against England. The team will live without its most experienced players before the five -match Test series starting from June 20. He says that especially Kohli still has many years of cricket left and he should reconsider his decision.

Yograj told IANS, “Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should come back from retirement to save Indian Test cricket. The senior cricketer also informed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should give support and security to the players in challenging time. He further said, “In 2011, players like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag were dropped from the team without any reason.
