Rohit Sharma Childhood Coach Dinesh Lad on 2027 ODI World Cup: Rohit Sharma’s childhood coach Dinesh Lad has said that his disciple wants to end the regret of not being part of the 2011 ODI winning team in 2027.
The ODI World Cup is still more than two years away and there has been speculation about the future in Rohit’s ODI format. His childhood coach pointed to Rohit’s absence from the 2011 ODI World Cup and said that the right -handed batsman still has “hunger and firm” to contribute to the country. Lad told IANS, “Rohit Sharma should definitely play in the 2027 ODI World Cup. Winning the trophy has always been his dream and he missed out on being a part of the 2011 winning team.”
Rohit has scored 11,168 runs in 273 ODIs at an average of 48.76. Which includes 32 centuries and 58 half -centuries. He has also made a unique record of scoring three double centuries in this format. Earlier this month, Rohit was present at The Oval to see the fifth and final Test against England. India won it by six runs and equalized Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2.
Rohit has scored 4,301 runs in 67 Tests at an average of 40.57. Which includes 12 centuries and 18 half -centuries. Rohit led India in 24 Tests, in which he won 12 matches and lost nine matches. Rohit scored as an opener in the Test at an excellent average of 42.81 in 66 innings. Which includes nine centuries and eight half -centuries. He also led India to become runners up after losing to The Oval against Australia in the 2023 World Test Championship (WTC) final.
