Today is the last day of the month of April and a new month will start from tomorrow. Like every month, May (May 2025) is going to start with many big changes, which can be seen on every house every house. Rule Change from 1st May, applicable from 1 May 2025, includes rules ranging from LPG Cylinder Price to withdraw money from ATM. Let us know in detail about 5 such major changes …
First change- LPG price
Like every month, oil market companies are going to amend the prices of LPG gas on the first day of May. On May 1, new rates of LPG Cylinder will be released. Let me tell you that earlier last month, where the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinder were seen, in the early week, the government had shocked the general public on LPG prices and the price of 14 kg domestic cylinder was increased by Rs 50. In such a situation, people are eyeing LPG price on the first date.
Second change-ATF-Cing-PNG prices
Along with the amendment in the prices of LPG Gas Cylinder, oil marketing companies also change the price of air turbine fuel (ATF) on the first date of every month. In the prices of ATF, any subtraction affects the expense of passengers traveling by air. Along with this, changes in CNG and PNG price can also be seen on 1 May.
Third change- ATM withdrawal
If you use ATM machine to withdraw cash, then it is going to be expensive for you since 1 May 2025. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had given permission to increase the fees on the proposal of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) in the past. In such a situation, if the customers used to withdraw money from the bank ATM of another network instead of their home bank ATM, then they will have to pay a charge of Rs 19 instead of Rs 17 on every transaction. Apart from this, on checking the balance with the ATM of another bank, instead of Rs 6, a fee of Rs 7 will be charged.
Many big banks have also started giving information about the charge on transactions after free-limit on their website. According to HDFC Bank’s website, the ATM transaction fee of Rs 21 from 1 May 2025 to Rs 21 from 1 May 2025 will now be increased to Rs 23 + tax if there is more transaction than the Free Transaction Limit. At the same time, PNB and Indusind Bank ATM will levy a fee of Rs 23 on cash withdrawal.
Fourth change- Railway ticket booking rules
The fourth change to be held from 1 May 2025 is related to the Indian Railway. Actually, the Railway Ticket Booking Rule is being changed and now waiting tickets will be valid only in general coaches. Meaning you cannot travel in sleeper coach with waiting tickets. At the same time, the advance reservation period has been reduced from 120 days to 60 days.
Fifth change- RRB scheme will be applicable
Another big change is going to happen on the first day of May. Actually, from 1 May 2025, the ‘One State-One RRB’ scheme is going to be implemented in 11 states of the country. Under this, a big bank will be made by connecting all the regional rural banks together in every state. This will make banking services even better and customers will get more facilities than before. This change can be applicable in other states including UP, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, MP.
