Jaishankar is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with his Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing before attending a council meeting of SCO Foreign Ministers held in Tianjin on 14 and 15 July. This meeting between the two country’s foreign ministers will be part of the series meetings running between senior officials of India and China, which aim to normalize the bilateral relations of both the country and find a solution to the long -running border dispute.

In the bilateral meeting between Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, there is also to be a discussion on the efforts to reduce the tension on LAC and to bring back the military forces of the two countries back to the position of LAC at the time of peace and to discuss ways to normalize relations like Trade and Peepal to Peepal contact with it.
