What is the demand of farmers?
Farmers are demanding MSP for crops from the Central Government and are demanding its legal guarantee. The farmers’ movement has been going on at the Khanauri border for the last 11 months. Farmers say that the prices of crops should be decided on the report of Swaminathan Commission. Apart from this, their loan should also be waived off. Apart from this, the farmers have demanded that the cases against the farmers against whom they were registered during the last movement should be withdrawn. Farmers also have some other demands like the Electricity Amendment Bill 2020 should be repealed, the Land Acquisition Act 2013 should be re-implemented, the culprits of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident should be punished.
