Muskan, who killed her husband Saurabh along with her lover, is currently lodged in Meerut district jail with Sahil. However, both have been kept in different barracks, due to which they are not meeting each other. It is being told that both had requested the jail administration to stay in the same barrack, but according to the jail manual, this was not possible. For this reason, the jail administration allotted new separate barracks to both.
It is being told that both Sahil and Muskan are trying to meet each other, but the jail administration has made it clear that this is not possible according to the rules. Jail officials say that the demand of any prisoner is considered keeping in mind the rules of the jail. At the moment, Muskan and Sahil will have to stay in different barracks and serve their punishment.
Approval to work in jail
Meerut District Jail Administration has handed over the work to Smile and Sahil under the jail rules. Both expressed their desire to work inside the jail according to their interest, which was accepted by the jail administration. Muskan demanded to learn the work of sewing-embroidery, while Sahil expressed his desire to do farming. According to the jail administration, both will be included in the work according to their interest.
Smile will learn stitching
Muskan expressed his desire to learn stitch-embroidery from the jail administration. The administration has approved him to give this training. He will be given complete training of sewing in jail, so that he can be proficient in this skill. After completion of training, smile will be able to stitch various clothes, so that it can provide employment opportunities in future.
Sahil will get training in farming and farming
Sahil had expressed his desire to do farming, which the administration has accepted. He will be trained to grow vegetables and fruits. He will work in the fields located in the jail premises and the vegetables grown by him will be used for the food of other prisoners in the jail. Instead, he will get a wage of 50 rupees per day.
Get work after 10 days
Veeresh Raj Sharma, Senior Jail Superintendent of Meerut District Jail said that under the jail rules, work is allotted to any captive after completion of 10 days. Both Muskan and Sahil will start their selected tasks from 1 April. This process is part of the gel reform system, which aims to provide skills to prisoners and keep them busy.
These three types of work are done for prisoners in jail
Skilled Work (trained work): This involves the tasks that require any skill, such as sewing, carpentry, sculpture etc. Non-skilled work (untrained work): It contains such tasks that can be done without any training, such as cleanliness, farming etc. Training work: In this, prisoners are given training of some new skills, so that they can become self -sufficient in future.
Sahil will get 50 rupees daily wages, not smile
Sahil has been engaged in farming work, which is considered a ‘non-skilled worker’ under the jail rules. Instead, he will get a wage of 50 rupees per day. If he is unable to do farming, he will be employed in some other work. On the other hand, Muskan has opted to learn sewing-embroidery. Since it falls under the category of training work, he will not get any wages for this. However, when she is fully efficient in sewing work and starts sewing clothes, then arrangements can be made to pay her.
