Sanjay Bangar has selected Karun Nair, Abhimanyu Ishwar, Nitish Kumar Reddy in the playing XI against England for the first Test match of Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, while Ravindra Jadeja has been dropped.

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team will start the new phase of the World Test Championship with a 5 -match Test series against hosts England. The first Test match of the series will be played in Leeds’s Headingley from June 20. The Indian team has no R Ashwin including star batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shubman Gill has been made the new captain of the Test team. England series will be a big exam for India and Gill.
‘Rabindra Jadeja was removed from the XI’
Sanjay Bangar has kept captain Shubman Gill for batting at number four, after that Rishabh Pant and Karun Nair have been given a place in the playing XI. Bangar took a shocking step and dropped Ravindra Jadeja out of the XI. He has selected Kuldeep Yadav for the first Test as Nitish Reddy and the only all -rounder and expert spinner. Apart from this, Bangar has selected the famous Krishna, Mohammad Siraj and Jaspreet Bumrah as 3 fast bowlers. Bangar has chosen Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul as openers, while Abhimanyu Ishwar has been placed at number three.
