A new controversy has arisen amid the investigation of the murder of Saurabh Rajput in Meerut. An AI-generated objectionable video went viral on social media, in which the murder accused Muskan Rastogi and Brahmapuri police station in-charge Ramkant Pachauri are shown in an objectionable position.
Video turned out to be fake, police confirmed
Police found that the video was made with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and was uploaded on social media with wrong intentions. Those who spread this video are being identified, and strict action will be taken against them.
Search for accused continues
Karmaveer Singh of Brahmapuri police station has filed a complaint in this case. According to the complaint, this fake video was posted from an Instagram account called ‘Priyanshu’. Police believe that this video was made to tarnish the image of the police officer.
SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said, ‘A case has been filed under Section 67 of the IT (Amendment) Act on the complaint of Senior Sub-Inspector. Those who make and spread videos will be arrested soon.
Other objectionable videos also surfaced
Apart from this, other objectionable videos of Muskan Rastogi and co-accused Sahil Shukla are also going viral on social media. The police is also investigating these videos and will soon take action against the culprits.
The police have appealed to the people not to share such videos without verifying and inform about any suspicious information immediately.
