The Supreme Court on Wednesday gave a divided verdict on the petition filed by former AAP councilor and Delhi riots accused Tahir Hussain seeking interim bail for the assembly election campaign. Justice Pankaj Mithal rejected Tahir Hussain’s plea saying no case for interim bail was made out, while Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah said he could be released on interim bail.
In this way, a new three-member bench will be formed to decide on the interim bail of Tahir Hussain. This bench will be headed by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna. Let us tell you that Asaduddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has made Tahir Hussain its candidate from Mustafabad seat for Delhi Assembly elections.
