SC ST BUDGET 2025 Education Employment Healthcare Defense Reform Chandrashekhar Aazad Parliament Nirmala Sitharaman | Chandrashekhar Aazad Speech: Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad again fired in Parliament, said

Budget 2025: During the discussion on budget 2024-25 in Lok Sabha, MP from Nagina seat Chandrashekhar Azad targeted the government fiercely. He said that the poor had high expectations from this budget, but it proved to be completely disappointing. Talking about the rights of Bahujan society, he recalled Kanshi Ram’s slogan “The number of it is as heavy, the more stake.”

Chandrashekhar Azad accused the government of cutting the budget for Scheduled Castes and Tribes (SC-ST). He said that in the budget of 2023-24, there was a total allocation of 3.43% for the SC-ST community, which has come down to 3.33% this time. He questioned that the government feels that the condition of this society has improved now? Conditions on the ground are still worrisome, but the budget has reduced the funds for these communities.

Chandrashekhar Azad raised questions on education budget cut

Questioning the budget deduction in the field of education, Chandrashekhar Azad said that Rs 1,220 crore was allocated for “PM Shri Schools” last year, but this time it was reduced to Rs 1,310 crore with only a slight increase. The “National Means Merit Scholarship” scheme did not increase while the student number is continuously increasing. Similarly, the budget of “Pradhan Mantri Higher Education Campaign” has also been reduced from 315 crores to 258 crores.

Chandrashekhar Azad lashed out on unemployment

Speaking on the issue of employment, he said that the youth in the country are facing unemployment. He questioned the slow pace of development in the industry sector and said that due to the policies of the government, youth are migrating to countries like America.

Demand to remove tax from soldiers’ salary

During the speech in the Lok Sabha, Chandrashekhar demanded the removal of the tax imposed on the salaries of soldiers and paramilitary forces. He said that taxing the salaries of the soldiers engaged in the security of the country is unjust. He urged the government to tax it so that the economic condition of the soldiers can be improved.

He also took a dig at the government on the neglect of farmers and laborers. He said that thousands of farmers committed suicide last year, but the government did not take any concrete steps for them. At the same time, the government’s silence regarding the “old pension scheme” was also questioned and said that lakhs of elderly employees are upset with this.

Chandrashekhar’s concern over the plight of the cleaning staff

Chandrasekhar also expressed concern over the plight of the sanitation workers. He demanded that the government should release a separate budget for the scavengers so that the incidents of losing life in the sewer can be stopped. At the same time, he condemned the apathy of the government on the safety of women and said that the progress of the country will be incomplete till the safety of daughters is ensured.

At the end of his speech, Chandrashekhar Azad questioned the Finance Minister as to why the budget was cut for education, employment, farmers and poor. He said that “How can the government expect progress by snatching the right to read SC-ST?”
