The Chinese government gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi a special car in Tianjin city of China for two days during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. This car is ‘Hongki L-5’, which is also called ‘Red Flag’ in China. This is the same car used by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
This car is considered a symbol of ‘Made in China’ in China. Its history started in 1958, when it was specially created for the big leaders of the Communist Party of China. This car was manufactured by China’s official FAW (First Automotive Works). President Xi Jinping used the same car while meeting Prime Minister Modi in Mahabalipuram, India in 2019.
‘Dragon and Elephant’ work together
During the bilateral meeting on Sunday (August 31, 2025), Chinese President Xi Jinping told PM Modi that now the demand of the hour is that ‘Dragons and Elephants’ should come together and become friends. At the same time, PM Modi told Xi Jinping that India is committed to pursue its relations with China on the basis of mutual trust, respect and sensitivity. 2.8 billion cooperation between the two countries will strengthen the economic status of citizens.
During a address, PM Modi said that there is now an atmosphere of peace and stability on the border, the soldiers of both countries have returned to their territory. This conversation between the leaders of the two countries took place after the unrest arising out of Trump’s tariff controversy.
President Putin will make a special journey with ‘Aurus’
PM Modi said, ‘Our cooperation is related to the interests of 2.8 billion people of both countries. This will open the way for the economic situation of the people of the country to be correct. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin Tianjin will travel in his special President Car ‘Aurus’ in the city. This car will have a diplomatic number plate of China.
Aurus is a retro-style (old-fashioned designed) luxury car, which has been built by a company named Russia’s Ores Motors. This car is specially prepared for the President of Russia and gives a royal look along with modern technology.
