The matter of removing the grave of Aurangzeb located in Sambhajinagar (first Aurangabad) in Maharashtra has started catching up. The Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have demanded the Maharashtra government to remove it soon. The security of the tomb has been increased amidst the dispute.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Maharashtra and Goa Regional Minister Govind Shende described Aurangzeb’s tomb as a symbol of slavery. He said on Monday -1 March -1 March i.e. today is the birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj. Today we will protest in Maharashtra and march towards Sambhajinagar.
Shende said- Aurangzeb tortured Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj for 40 days before killing. Why should the mark of such a cruel ruler remain.
T Raja also demanded to remove the grave
BJP MLA Hinduist leader T Raja Singh from Goshamahal in Telangana has also demanded the removal of the tomb. He said- I support the demand of VHP and Bajrang Dal.
Earlier, T Raja Singh wrote Litthi to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on 15 March. He has sought details of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and expenses on the maintenance of the tomb of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district.
He said- What is the justification for the assassination of Hindu kings, the tomb of Aurangzeb, who breaks temples and suppress our culture. Not a single rupee of taxpayers should be spent on the maintenance of the dictator’s grave, which has given great pain to our ancestors. It should be stopped immediately.
Bajrang Dal leader said- Babri Masjid will be like a fate
Earlier on Saturday, Bajrang Dal leader Nitin Mahajan demanded the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb in Sambhajinagar. He said that if the government fails to do so, then the tomb will also have the same fate like Babri Masjid.
Mahajan said- Aurangzeb’s grave is being prayed. The grave of Sambhaji’s killer is being built. When such tombs are prayed, the society also develops in the same way. At that time we were helpless, but now Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal are demanding that it should be removed.
We know what happens when the Hindu community agitates about its existence. We all saw what happened to remove the Babri structure in Ayodhya. If the government does not remove the grave, then we will do karseva.
Police made strict security arrangements
Police have made strict security arrangements in Aurangzeb’s grave area. Barricades have been installed at various places. Such arrangements have been made that only one person can enter there. Police has closed the main gate of Aurangzeb’s mausoleum. Aurangzeb’s visit to the grave has also been banned. Now Aurangzeb’s tomb will have to be inspected from outside.
