Senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor has given a statement on Saturday (July 19, 2025) to cooperate with the Government of India during his relation and Operation Sindoor. The Congress leader said that it is unfortunate that in the democracy of any country, politics is related to competition. Many times it happens that the cooperation of other parties is seen as a lack of loyalty of its party.
In fact, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was answering the question of a high school student during an event in Kochi. The student questioned Tharoor about his relations with the leadership of the Congress party in recent times. In this, he was asked to go on a visit to America as the leadership of an all -party delegation especially on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.
Shashi Tharoor answered the student’s question
Responding to the student’s question in the program, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said, “Politics is actually about competition. When people like me say that we respect our parties, but we should cooperate with other parties in view of national security and the interest of the country, sometimes parties feel like this step of lack and this becomes a big problem.”
He said, “Many people are criticizing me about the attitude I had taken in support of our armed forces and our government. But I will be completely adamant on my stance because I think this is right for the country.”

Parties medium to improve the country- Tharoor
Shashi Tharoor insisted on this, saying, “The nation comes first from my perspective and any political party desires to improve its country. Parties are just a medium to improve the country. Then no matter what you belong to any party, the purpose of that party is also to build a better India in its own way.”
No matter how many differences there are in parties, everyone should be one for the country- Tharoor
The Congress leader said, “Even though there are many differences between the parties about the ideas, everyone must be one to create a better and safe India.” During this time, he also reiterated the matter of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He said, “If India is not left, then who will survive?”
