Actress Shefali Jariwala is no longer in this world. He died at the age of just 42 years. His sudden death has shocked the TV industry. At the same time, music director Harry Anand, who launched the actress in the famous music video ‘Kanta Laga’, is in deep shock to hear the news of her sudden death.
In a special conversation with India Today, Anand got the news of Shefali’s death and recalled her early days and the era which made the actress famous in the house.
I was not sure at all- Harry Anand
Harry Anand told, ‘I was recording a music, when one of my assistants called and said that Harry, I am going to give you a very shocking news. I told him that my heart is weak, tell me what has happened early because last month I had lost my sister and my mother before that only last month. The assistant told that Shefali Jariwala is no longer. Anand further said that I could not believe this in the beginning. Because sometimes such reports prove to be false or publicity stunts. I told myself that I will wait till morning to confirm this, but then it started spreading everywhere. I am still completely shocked.
Shefali- Harry Anand was surprised by the hit of ‘Kanta Laga’
Recalling the early days, Anand said, ‘I worked with Shefali on three music videos-‘ Kabhi R Kabhi Paar ‘,’ Kanta Laga ‘and a third song after her marriage. Recalling the shooting of ‘Kanta Laga’, Anand said, ‘Shefali practiced for about 15-20 days. From costume to choreography, everything was planned well. I had appointed the name DJ Doll for the album and thus we started the series. The thorn made Shefali an overnight star. She was fully surprised by the tremendous success of the song. She often used to tell me that Harry is not sure that this is happening. That song was also a big success for him and me. We also won the MTV Award for this.
Anand when asked if he met Shefali recently? Then Anand told, ‘I could not meet Shefali due to my long work in the UK. I returned to India a few days ago and today I came to know about his death. I was watching his Instagram page last night. He posted only four days ago. It is difficult to believe that she is no longer.

Recalling Shefali, Anand said, ‘She used to keep doing shows continuously. His father used to say to me, Harry Yaar just a song and make two good. Because he also did not believe that the song was very hit. Shefali was constantly being showed on this. Apart from this, Anand also remembered the controversy on the song ‘Kanta Laga’. ‘There was a debate everywhere about the song. I had got the title to spoil the country. So Shefali will always be remembered as that era.
Death due to heart attack
Please tell that actress and model Shefali Jariwala died late on Friday night. According to the initial report, Shefali got a cardiac arrest, after which she was immediately rushed to the hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi. However, doctors could not save the actress’s life and declared her dead. Shefali Jariwala was born on 15 December 1982 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
