Shiv sena protest: In Jammu, Shiv Sena workers have strongly objected to the way the US to send migrant Indians out of the country by wearing handcuffs. Along with this, he demanded that India should also send Rohingya refugees living illegally back to their country as soon as possible.
Shiv Sena activists protested against the central government in Jammu and raised slogans like ‘Send Seema Hyder’, ‘Send Sheikh Hasina back’ and ‘Send Rohingya’. The protesters said that just as the US has taken a tough stand against the migrants, in the same way India should also take strict action against illegal migrants.
Bangladeshi worry over infiltration
Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir President Manish Sahni said that according to a report released in 2007, about 125 crore Bangladeshi were illegally living in India and three lakh new Bangladeshi infiltration every year. He claimed that at present the number of illegal Bangladeshis in India has reached around two crores.
BJP also targeted
Targeting the BJP government, the Shiv Sena also said that promises are made to send illegal migrants out in the elections, but till date no concrete steps have been taken on it. He alleged that the about 856 km long border adjacent to Bangladesh has not yet been fully stalled, due to which the infiltration continues.
Shiv Sena activists alleged that there is no official record of Rohingya refugees living in Jammu and Kashmir, which can threaten security. He said that if America can take action against illegal migrants, then India should also take steps in this direction.
