Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan reached Jhunjhunu. In the ceremony held on the airstrip here, the insurance claim of Rs 3200 crore was released under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme for farmers across the country.

Earlier, CM and Union Agriculture Minister were welcomed by giving special bouquets made of millet earrings in the program.
Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena told the stage-The government has taken a tough stand against fake manure and seed makers in the state. We have caught fake manure and seeds of seeds in the state. In this case, the government has lodged several FIRs.
A large number of women farmers also arrived in the program for farmers on the air patti.
In the program, by pressing the Chief Minister and Union Agriculture Minister button, the first installment of the insurance claim amount of Rabi season 2024-25 and Kharif Season 2024 was transferred to the farmers’ accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan directly transferred an amount of 3,200 crore to about 30 lakh farmers of several states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme’.
This amount was also transferred to the accounts of farmers across the country from Jhunjhunu, which will provide great relief to the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. Symbolic checks were also distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes at the ceremony.
During the tenure of the state government (till July 2025), a total of 148 lakh eligible policy holders have been paid crop insurance claims worth Rs 3,912.53 crore to a total of Rs 3,912.53 crore. Many dignitaries including Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, Minister in -charge Avinash Gehlot, Minister of State Bhagirath Chaudhary are present in this program.
