25 June 1975 & hellip; The dark day in the history of Indian democracy. At 11:45 pm, President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed signed the ordinance that converted democracy into a jail system. When the whole of India got caught in the chains of dictatorship. Democracy was strangled. The fundamental rights of citizens were taken away by keeping the Constitution on hold. The freedom of the press was abolished. All the big leaders of the opposition were put behind bars. More than 1 lakh innocent citizens were punished in jail without trial. & Nbsp;
In such a terrible era when the whole country was immersed in panic and despair, there were some people who refused to bow down to fear. One of them was the preacher of the young Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and today India’s famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi. & Nbsp;
Sardar used to roam in the villages of Punjab by becoming Sardar in Emergency. PM Modi
Narendra Modi had given a wonderful vision and sometimes in that horrific period of emergency. By becoming in Punjab, sometimes he would visit from village to village and meet those families, who were either in jail or escaped from the eyes of the police. Modi not only shared his grief and happiness, but also encouraged him to stand against dictatorship.
Modi ji disguised himself to hide himself. Turban was purchased from Chandni Chowk. A Sardarji of the vegetable market taught him to tie a turban. In this form, Modi ji traveled in the train from Delhi to Surat, throwing dust in the eyes of the police. The police was lying behind Modi ji. The arrest warrant was going on. Despite this, Modi ji remained adamant on his duty path while dodging the dictatorship police of Indira government.
stayed underground and handled the organization’s work
during the Emergency, Modi ji took secret to the organization by staying secretly in Ashok Vihar in Delhi. He received the support of Vijay Rajpal of Delhi in that difficult time.
At that era of dictatorship when a trap was lying everywhere for the arrest of Modi ji, he used to go to the jail to meet his companions, wearing a monk, he never cared about his personal life in his dedication to the national love. Despite strict censorship, Narendra Modi kept telling the public the truth through underground literature, secret meetings and dialogues. His goal was to highlight the dictatorship of the government, spread awareness among the people and to keep the burning of democracy. Along with senior RSS leaders like Nath Jagra and Vasant Gajendragadkar, he searched several new ways to broadcast information to more and more people. For example, at that time Modi ji filled the material related to the Constitution and the excesses of the Congress government in the trains leaving from Gujarat to bring information against the emergency to every corner of the country. Descending, then Modi ji supported her. Narendra Modi’s active participation in that movement suggests that democracy for him was much larger than a position or reputation. In this, he put the truth of that black era in front of the world, which the Congress was constantly trying to hide.
Now, years later, ‘The Emergency Diaries & Ndash; A new book called Years that Forge for A Leader ‘has been published in detail in detail the struggles of Narendra Modi and his leadership capacity during the Emergency. This book explains how the dark years of Emergency played a role in making Narendra Modi not only a worker, but a future man. "When the emergency started, I was a young campaigner. At that time, I taught me to struggle for the importance of democracy and protecting it. The experience of learning from different ideology and fighting against dictatorship from unity became an important part of my life."
Today Narendra Modi is continuously working to protect the Constitution and strengthen democracy as a famous Prime Minister. Under his leadership, India’s democracy and constitution are not only safe, but are becoming more empowered than before. Today the country is moving forward with a lesson from that black history of the Emergency. No matter how powerful dictators are, when the public wakes up and a struggling leader like Modi is together, then democracy is victorious every time.
