The process of connecting the two after the docking of the spacecraft took place when the vehicle and the ISS were connected to the 12 sets of hooks with each other and installed communication and power links. The process of opening the hatch before the astronauts took off at the space station took 1 hour 45 minutes. Shubhanshu Shukla has become the second Indian astronaut to fly to space. Earlier, Rakesh Sharma of India had been eight days in space in 1984.
