Shubhanshu shukla axiom-4 mission live news & latest updates: India is going to create history. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is leaving for the International Space Station (ISS) today. He will become the first Indian to visit the ISS and will become the second Indian to go to space after Rakesh Sharma’s 1984 mission. The Acom-4 Mission of India with Shubhanshu Shukla and three other astronauts of India is going to fly at around 12 noon this afternoon from Complex 39A of Kennedy Space Center. After a 28 -hour journey, the spacecraft is expected to do a dock from the International Space Station (ISS) at around 04:30 pm on Thursday.
Astronauts have to spend about 14 days at the space station. The new launch slot was announced on Tuesday morning. It is part of the Mission Axiom Space, which is a private aerospace company.
This mission has been postponed seven times. Now the new launch date is 25 June. Before postponing, there are many reasons such as problems in the launch vehicle and change in pressure on the ISS Zavezda module. The leak in Zweeda was first discovered in 2019 and space agencies have been working for many years to fix it. The repair work was done before the Axiom-4 mission.
