Shubhanshu shukla mission: Lucknow-born Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s Wednesday (25 June 2025) from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) of Florida, leaving the SpaceX Falcon 9-Racket to space, added a new chapter to a new chapter in Lucknow’s glorious history. As soon as the rocket reached the sky of Florida, Shukla’s family, who was watching this moment live at the World Unity Convention Center Auditorium of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road, Lucknow, became emotional. For this reason, after 41 years after Rakesh Sharma in 1984, Shubhanshu Shukla has returned to India’s human space flight. On this special occasion, Shubhanshu Shukla’s sister Nidhi Mishra said that this is not only for me but for everyone in India. I cannot say it in words. All I want to say is that Shubhanshu your mission is successful and you should come back safely to us.
Shubhanshu Shukla’s sister further said that I feel good and I am hoping that he successfully completed his mission and returns to us soon so that I can hug her once again. My brother says there is no alternative to hard work. You do not find anything easily in this world. Whatever we are seeing today, there is a lot of hard work behind it. I am a bit emotional for my brother at this time.
Shubhanshu Shukla’s parents became emotional
Shubhanshu Shukla’s father Shambhu Shukla said to PTI, ‘This is a great moment not only for us but also for our country. What can we say at this time, I do not have words anymore. My blessings are always with my son. Posters congratulating Shubhanshu Shukla on his historical space journey are engaged all over Lucknow. At the same time, City Montessori School organized the ‘Vyomotsav’ and converted the auditorium campus into a mini space center. Shubhanshu Shukla’s mother Asha Shukla said, ‘At this time I have nothing else to say. I am very happy. I know that he will succeed. Although I am eagerly waiting for him to return after a successful mission, but I also know that even after returning to the earth, it will take him some time to come among us.
Shubhanshu Shukla’s career
Born in Lucknow in the year 1985 and in the Aliganj branch of City Montessori School, Shukla, who got education up to class XII, graduated from the National Defense Academy and joined the Indian Air Force in 2006. In 2019, he was selected for India’s Gaganyaan Human spacecraft program and later selected as a pilot for AX-4. NASA’s senior doctor Paigi Whitson (Mission Commander) and Shukla’s 14-day mission with Hungarian and Poland astronauts will contribute to micro-physical science, nutrition and seed germination in space including seed germination in areas.
