Shubhendu officials are fighting the same battle against Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, as Mukul Roy has defeated in a battle.
Mukul Roy was also planted by the BJP on the front of Bengal with big aspirations by Mamata Banerjee’s team. But he could not walk. The BJP had done a lot for him, but one day came when he returned. Mamta Banerjee did not reject, adopted and she is also an MLA.
Mukul Roy had left the Trinamool Congress, but Mamata Banerjee did not create the same hatred towards herself as Shubhendu has defeated in the election field of Nandigram.
Shubhendu Adhikari has failed twice. For the first time in the 2021 assembly elections, when Prashant could not prove Kishore wrong. And, for the second time in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections – the West Bengal assembly election of 2026 is his third test, and it is possible that it is also the last.
Actually, Shubhendu Adhikari is busy preparing for his third examination, and less than a year is left in it – but, the way you are adopting in a hurry, do not have to be given to take it somewhere.
Why is Shubhendu officer beating the line
It may not be very effective, but the slogan of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ goes on in many places including UP. In UP too, Electricity Minister AK Sharma was heard shouting the same slogan, but he was chanting the slogan to get out of the crowd, Shubhendu officer will have to think beyond that.
In West Bengal, when the Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari was passing through Purushura assembly constituency of Hooghly district, then an incident happened that he got up, and started raising the slogan of Jai Shri Ram – It is difficult to get rid of the protesting crowds by shouting slogans like AK Sharma, they have to strengthen the BJP there.
Shubhendu has also been exactly the same with the officer, as it was happening with Mamata Banerjee before the 2020 West Bengal assembly elections – and Shubhendu Adhikari also reacted almost the same as the Trinamool Congress leaders.
The difference was only of the slogan. Seeing Mamata Banerjee, then BJP supporters used to shout slogans of Jai Shri Ram, Shubhendu, seeing the officer, started shouting slogans with Jai Bangla in the same manner.
This incident is from Radhanagar area, Shubhendu officials arrived to attend their rally – and then Trinamool Congress worker Sheikh Moeedul started shouting slogans of ‘Jai Bangla’.
Shubhendu Adhikari felt very bad. He got out of control. Extreme resentment started to be expressed. He also got off the car in retaliation and started shouting slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Sheikh Moeedul and Shubhendu officials were face to face and there was an argument. The ruckus increased when Shubhendu Adhikari allegedly called Moidul to Rohingya, and his security personnel pushed Sheikh Moeedul. Sheikh Moeedul had a saying that he was angry at hearing the speech of Shubhendu Adhikari on TV.
Why should Shubhendu avoid Jai Bangla slogan?
The question is why Shubhendu Adhikari Jai Bangla slogans are avoided? Does Bengali Asmita Shubhendu not matter to the officer – that too when Mamata Banerjee is running a language movement in West Bengal.
Till the 2020 elections, the slogan of Jai Shri Ram was heard in West Bengal, even he was heard in the program of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The Sangh was also angry then.
Before the 2020 Bengal assembly elections, many such opportunities were seen when on seeing Mamata Banerjee, BJP supporters started shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram. And, in anger, Lal Mamata Banerjee stopped the car on the way and threatened them and took an aggressive stand against the BJP – but now it is no longer a period. The matter has progressed a lot, and the BJP has also started feeling the slogan of Jai Shri Ram to be neutralized in Bengal.
The BJP saw that the slogan of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is not getting any special benefit in front of Mamata Banerjee’s opposition, so gradually Maryada Purushottam Ram has started focusing on Shaktipuja in Bengal.
Now the BJP has started trying to move forward with slogans like ‘Jai Maa Kali’ and ‘Jai Maa Durga’, which was in place of Jai Shri Ram. In the recent West Bengal tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his speech with Devi remembrance – and Shubhendu Adhikari has started avoiding Jai Bangla.
