New Delhi. Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill played a brilliant innings in the first Test match against England. Gill scored 147 runs in the first innings of the headingley Test match, which is the best score of his Test career. He broke the record of former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly while Virat Kohli’s record was narrowly survived. India scored 471 runs in the first innings with the help of centuries of Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant. For the first time, Gill & Company, captaining the Test team, batted brilliantly in the first innings.
