When Shubman Gill landed against England, India’s score was 95 runs for 2 wickets. Gill handled one end from here that the British swelled their hands and feet. Shubman Gill shared 66 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal from here and 47 runs with Rishabh Pant. But the decisive partnership of the match was between Gill and Ravindra Jadeja. Both of them shared a 203 -run partnership for the sixth wicket. After Jadeja was dismissed, Gill also added 144 runs with Washington Sundar.
Shubman Gill took his score from 100 to 200 and then 250 among all these partnerships. When he crossed the 250 -run mark, it was expected that he would score a triple century. Every Indian was waiting for a triple century. Karun Nair, who scored the last triple century for India, was also encouraging Gill from the dressing room.
