Shubman Gill Reportedly Unwell: Shubman Gill’s health deteriorated, will not be able to play in Dalip Trophy

New Delhi. A worrying news is coming out about the new Test captain of the Indian cricket team Shubman Gill. According to the information, his health has deteriorated after returning from the successful tour of England. Shubman is unwell at the moment and is resting at his home in Chandigarh. After 1 year, he has returned to the T20 team and he has been made the vice -captain of the team for the next month’s Asia Cup. On August 19, Chief Selector and Captain Suryakumar Yadav announced India’s 15 -member team for the Asia Cup 2025.

According to Cricbuzz, Shubman Gill was recently examined by Physio. BCCI was informed about his health a day before. 25-year-old Gill has returned as the vice-captain in India’s T20I team. However, Gill is expected to fit for the tournament. Due to illness, he will leave the Dalip Trophy, which started the domestic cricket season. He has been made the captain of the North Zone.

Gill was expected to leave the red-ball tournament as part of the Asia Cup. The Dalip Trophy 2025 will start from August 28 and end on 15 September. The Asia Cup starts on 9 September when Afghanistan will face Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi. This meant that Gill could play in the initial round of the Dalip Trophy. Now he is expected to miss the entire tournament.
