Superstar Salman Khan’s latest Eid release ‘Sikander’ started in theaters, but now the condition of this film is seen giving Bollywood tension. Sunday, who started with a good collection, ‘Alexander’ did not get any positive response from the public and its effect is now visible at the film’s box office.
In the last decade, big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar have gone through difficult times. At the same time, Salman remained the only Bollywood star in the midst of all this, no matter how bad the film has been, she did not officially call her flop at the box office. But this danger has also arisen for Salman from ‘Alexander’.
‘Alexander’ earned fiercely on Wednesday
On Sunday, ‘Alexander’ started with an opening of 30 crores. On Eid day, earnings increased slightly on Monday and the collection reached 33 crores. But on Tuesday, the film’s earnings decreased by 10 crores to 23 crores.
Now Wednesday’s trade reports say that on the fourth day, the collection of ‘Sikander’ has been reduced by more than 50%. It is estimated that on Wednesday, Salman’s film has missed out on touching the figure and has been collected in the range of 9 crores. ‘Alexander’ earnings have not reached 100 crore figures even in 4 days.
Salman’s film reached single digit in 4 days
There is also a story of Salman’s Jalavas at the box office that his big hits have earned double digit ie double digits for several days after release. In his films, ‘Sultan’ collected 13 days, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ for 12 days and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has collected more than 10 crores for 11 days.
While Salman’s less popular films ‘Race 3’, ‘Dabangg 3’ and ‘Tubelight’ have also collected more than 10 crore box office collections at least 6 days. Salman’s previous Eid release ‘Kisi’s brother Kisi Jaan’ did not get a very good response and it started collecting in a single digit from the 5th day.
The opening collection of ‘Alexander’ was double compared to someone’s brother someone’s life, but it has reached a single digit a day before Salman’s previous film. This shows what is happening to ‘Alexander’. In the final figures, even if ‘Alexander’ earnings crosses 10 crores on Wednesday, its trend is not better than Salman’s previous film.
Salman’s film will be a flop after 16 years?
Salman’s previous big film which was badly struggled at the box office was ‘Tubelight’ in 2017. In many places, the film was not able to take out the investment, so Salman also returned the advanced from the distributors so that he does not suffer losses. But according to the reports, the ‘Tubelight’, which collections 119 crore India, is also not a flop. It is just considered an average or below. That is why Salman’s last film which was declared official flop at the box office is ‘London Dreams’ in 2009 which could not even earn 50 crores in India. However, the same year Salman’s bang hit ‘Wanted’ earned 60 crores.
Reports say that the budget of ‘Alexander’ is around 200 crores. But according to which its earnings are going on, it can barely reach 150 crores. If the situation remains the same, then ‘Alexander’ will be recorded after 16 years as a flop in Salman’s account.
