Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) officials on Tuesday (February 4, 2025) detained five suspects involved in sending SIM cards and smuggling terrorists in several jails in Jammu and Kashmir. Explain that these suspects have been detained from Srinagar, Bandipora and Anantnag districts of Kashmir Valley.

police The spokesperson said in a statement, "In the case of Police Station CI-(K), arrests were made in connection with the investigation of FIR No. 06/2023 Section 153-A, 505, 121 and 120-B IPC R/W 13 and 39 UA (P) Act. He informed that five people have been detained from Dawoodpora of Anantnag, Qamarwari and Kursu-Padshahi Bagh areas of Srinagar and Nathpora of Bandipora districts and Kalusa. Card
Police spokesperson said, "The five have been detained for questioning for the procurement, transportation and smuggling of SIM cards inside the Central Jail Complex for questioning on being involved in the criminal conspiracy composed with anti -national elements. It further said that the SIM card was brought to the prisoners of the jail who have been involved in terrorism and narco-attitude. /P>
Significantly, CIK had first searched inside the Central Jail Complex. During the search, it was found that these suspects along with some prisoners have sent SIM cards inside the jail to use in many terrorist activities. Explain that the role of POS/vendors of many telecom service providers (TSP) who issued these SIM cards is being traced. More arrests are expected to happen further.
