Bengaluru Stampede Virat Kohli: There is a new twist in the Bengaluru stampede case. A complaint has been made against cricketer Virat Kohli regarding a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday (June 4) in Bengaluru. A social activist named HM Venkatesh has complained to the police. However, many FIRs have not been lodged yet on the complaint of the activist.

According to news agency ANI, social activist HM Venkatesh, in his complaint, has blamed cricketer Virat Kohli for the stampede in celebration of RCB’s first win in IPL history. It has been said by the activist that Virat Kohli is also responsible for the Bengaluru stampede case.

A stampede due to lack of adequate arrangements outside the stadium

On Wednesday (June 4), RCB’s team came to celebrate the victory at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru after winning the first win after 18 years in the IPL. At the same time, millions of fans gathered outside the stadium to attend the victory of the team. While adequate quantity was not arranged to handle such a large number of people. Due to which there was a stampede and 11 people lost their lives.

State government set up commission to investigate the case

According to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, a place set to celebrate RCB’s victory, was not enough to handle such a large number of people. The Chief Minister said that the capacity of the Chinnaswamy Stadium is 35 thousand people, but a crowd of about 2 to 3 lakh people had gathered to attend the celebration of RCB’s victory.

The state government has formed a member inquiry commission under the leadership of retired judge Justice John Michael Dichunha to investigate the stampede in Bengaluru.

Court sent 4 people related to the case to judicial custody

At the same time, four people associated with the Bengaluru stampede case have been arrested. Those arrested include Nikhil Sosale, marketing and revenue head of Royal Challengers Bangalore of DNA Entertainment Private Limited, Sunil Matthew, Vice President of Business Affairs, Sunil Matthew, Senior Event Manager Kiran Kumar and Lead Sumant of Ticketing Operations. These four people have been sent to 14 days judicial custody after the order of 14 ACMM courts.
