It has been informed in the post that Banaras Locomotive Works of Varanasi has installed India’s first 70 meter long removable solar panel system on the railway track. It has 28 Sola PANAL, whose capacity is 15 kW peak.

Power saving and environmental protection
This move of the Indian Railway by the Ministry of Railways has been declared a milestone towards green and sustainable rail transport.
