The Gaza Strip, present in the southwest corner of Palestine, is an area whose history has always been full of complexity and conflicts. This area has been a part of various empires in the past, who ruled the Asirian, Rome, and other major powers. Currently, the situation of the Gaza Strip is once again in controversy, in which the presence and policies of the US and Israel have a profound impact on the future of the region.
The roots of the history of Gaza are associated with the Asirian Empire
The history of Gaza Strip is thousands of years old. Its roots also join the ancient Asirian Empire, which established his control over the Gaza Strip thousands of years ago. This history takes the history of Gaza around the antiquity of Egypt. Many such documents are found in which it is mentioned that the Asirian Empire controlled Gaza and considered it geographically essential for itself.
Gaza has also been a part of Roman history
Subsequently, the dominance of the Romans was established in the Gaza Strip. The Empire of Rome made Gaza a part of his empire in the 1st century BC. Roman understood the importance of the region and used it for its commercial needs. Gaza emerged as a major trading center, from where the trading routes between Asia, Europe and Africa passed.
Romans also made significant changes in Gaza’s culture and administration. He respected the traditions of the local people here and included them in the political system of Rome. However, in the end and medieval era of the Rome Empire, there was several rebellion and struggle inside the Gaza Strip. After the fall of the Rome Empire, the dominance of the Muslim Empire was established on the Gaza Strip.
Arab culture developed in Gaza
Arabs captured the region in the 7th century and made it a part of the Islamic Empire. Muslim rulers developed Gaza as a religious and cultural center. However, there was frequent conflicts in the region, including the dominance of the crusaders, mamaluks and then the Ottoman Empire.
At the beginning of the 20th centenary, the Gaza Strip was dominated by the British Empire, which was ruling a large part of the Palestinian region. The British rule increased tension between Jews and Arab communities in the region of Palestine, as British rule promoted Jewish immigration, causing dissatisfaction in Palestinian Arabs. Many local movements and conflicts were born during the British rule in Gaza, in which Palestinian freedom struggle was prominent.
The Gaza strip has been the center of struggle and violence for the past decades. With the construction of Israel in 1948, the geopolitical significance of the region increased. The role of Gaza Patti has been important in the conflicts between Israel and Arab countries. Currently, this region remains the major center of conflict between Israel and Palestinian organization Hamas. When Israel was constructed in 1948, Arristis line was drawn to settle Arab and Jewish communities in different places in the region. Under this, Gaza Patti was established as Arab -dominated region, while the Jewish community lived in Israel. Egypt had control over the region from 1948 to 1967, but in the 1967 Kachh -day war, Israel defeated Egypt and captured Gaza Strip. Since then, this area came to the Israeli administration.
After Israel came under control, the challenges for the Arab community in the Gaza Strip increased. Israeli settled Jewish settlements here, and dissatisfaction in the Arab community. But in 2007, Hamas seized the power of the region, after which the situation became even more complicated.
Hamas, which is a Palestinian organization, which many countries including Israel and United Nations consider terrorist organizations. After the election in 2007, Hamas took over the power of Gaza Patti and also broke contact with the Arab community of the west coast. Since then, there has been a constant conflict between Israel and Hamas. Despite the ceasefire in 2008, rocket attacks were carried out by Hamas on South Israel. In response, Israel also carried out several attacks in the Gaza Strip. In December 2008, Israel launched a large -scale military campaign on Gaza Strip. 13 Israeli civilians died in this attack, including 3 citizens and 10 soldiers, while about 1300 people were killed in Gaza Strip.
After 22 days in January 2009, Israel announced a unilateral ceasefire, but even after this the rocket attacks continued from Gaza. Israel warned that if Hamas’s attacks continue, it will take military action again.
Now, in the position of Gaza bandage, the influence of America and Israel is increasing even more. Israel has strong support from America, especially during the reign of President Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Israel has tightened its security measures with the support of America and campaigned against Hamas in Gaza. The US, in association with Israel, follows several international policies against Palestinians, including opposition to United Nations resolutions and military cooperation with Israel.
Trump’s 5 point plan regarding Gaza?
Addressing the press after meeting the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Trump once again reiterated the eviction of Gaza Strip.
“The us will take over the gaza strip, and we will do a job with it, too.” -President Donald J. Trump pic.twitter.com/acqll9gww
– President Donald J. Trump (@Potus) February 5, 2025
Focus is to vacate Gaza and get reconstructed work
He said that Palestinians will have to vacate the Gaza bandage. They should settle permanently in Egypt, Jordan and other countries. Now Gaza is not worth living. I have heard that Gaza is unfortunate for him. They live like hell there. They are living in hell. Gaza is not Palestinian in the future.
Trump said that he has studied Gaza for several months. He has studied very closely. Palestinians in Gaza have no choice. What do they have? There is just debris there. Palestinians should shift to a beautiful place instead of Gaza. We will take control of Gaza and fulfill all the dangerous uninteresting bombs and other weapons present there to level the site and remove debris of destroyed buildings.
Gaza Riviera of Middle East will be converted
Trump said that after vacating Gaza, the rebuilding work will be done here vigorously. We will convert Gaza into Riviera of Middle East.
Trump said that this decision has been taken seriously. Those whom I talked to about this blueprint have liked it. After the US occupation of Gaza, it will be developed by rebuilding the region and then by providing thousands of employment opportunities here. Gaza can become the home of people from all over the world.
Trump said that we will focus on making Gaza a middle East Riviera. Riviera is actually a word in Italy, which means coastline i.e. beaches. French Riviera and Italian Riviera are famous for their tourism worldwide. On the same lines, Trump wants to develop Gaza as a tourism hub.
Hamas’s end
Trump said that Hamas’s attack on Israel has taken away the lives of many innocent people. Today, the price paid by Palestinians is responsible for it. In such a situation, Gaza will have to be freed from terror. For this, it is important that Gaza be evacuated.
Iran is also in Trump’s Hitist
Iran is also in 5 points blueprint with the US President’s Gaza. Trump warned that if Iran tries to kill him, he would have to suffer its consequences. Trump said that he has instructed his advisors that if Iran attacks him, it should be destroyed.
Trump has also signed an executive order to break Iran’s back, asking the US government to put maximum pressure on Iran.
Let me tell you that after meeting US President Trump, Israeli PM Netanyahu said that Israel has never been so powerful before Iran has never been so weak. I discussed with President Trump to bring peace in our area and save our future. There are three objectives of Israel in Gaza- first, Hamas has to be completely destroyed. Second- the release of all our hostages is to ensure and the third Gaza could never become a threat to Israel again.
