Wangchuk’s answer
Wangchuk on Thursday stated the strategy to make him responsible for the recent violent protests in Ladakh to make him responsible for making him a ‘goat of sacrifice’, saying that its objective is to avoid dealing with the basic problems of the Himalayan region. Wangchuk further said that he is ready for arrest under the Strict Public Safety Act (PSA). Wangchuk had said that this (violence) was instigated by me or Congress, instead of dealing with the origin of the problem, it is like finding a goat of sacrifice, and no solution will be found.
In a conversation with the news agency PTI-Bhasha, Wangchuk had said, ‘They can manipulate someone to make a sacrifice of sacrifice, but they are not intelligent. At this time, all of us need intelligence rather than ‘cleverness’, because the youth are already disappointed. The climate activist said, ‘I see that they are making some such case, so that I can arrest me under the Public Safety Act and put them in jail for two years. I am ready for this, but instead of keeping Sonam Wangchuk free, problems can increase further.
