South Korea announced travel sanctions, citizens strictly refused to go to this country!

South Korea is working on a plan to ban the visit of Korea due to the increasing struggle in the eastern part of the Congo. The country’s Foreign Ministry gave this information on Friday.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the travel ban of Level-4 for the North Kivu province of the Central African country will be applicable from Saturday. This is the most rigorous travel ban imposed by the South Korean government. This means that South Korean citizens will not be allowed to go there. At the same time, a warning of level 3 for other parts of Congo will continue, in which citizens are advised to leave the area as soon as possible.

Violence has recently intensified in the Central African country of Congo. The fierce struggle continues between the rebel group and the army called M23. According to the report by news agency Yonhap, the M23 rebels are claiming to occupy Goma, the capital of the northern Kivu province. The city is an important regional center and about 1 million people live here, out of which more than seven lakhs are already displaced and living in difficult conditions.

Congo President Felix Tasecidi said in an address on national television on Thursday that the government will respond with full force to get back its land. He also said that military campaign is going on to free every inch of the country from enemies.

There are violent clashes in Goma since the evening of 26 January. On Monday, M33 rebels captured several important locations including the airport, port and a local base of the army. This has made the situation more serious.

The United Nations has also expressed deep concern about this struggle. Stephen Dujarik, a spokesman for UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres, said that the M23 rebels are now moving towards Buwavu, the capital of South Kivu province, which has also made the situation there unstable. He also informed that according to reliable reports, Rwanda’s army is also crossing the border and entering the region.

On the request of the DRC government, the United Nations Security Council lifted its Peace Mission (MONUSCO) from South Kivu last year. Now this is expected to increase human and security problems there.

In the Minova area of South Kivu, there are severe clashes between M3 and the Congo army. The United Nations has warned that inter-caste conflict can also flare there.

Looking at the situation, South Korea has decided to ban this travel to the safety of its citizens so that they stay away from this dangerous struggle.
