SpiceJet flight going from Delhi to Srinagar was free on Saturday. Due to this, there were situations like a stir for 23 seconds inside the plane. A passenger sitting in flight SG-385 recorded the video. In which a crew member is seen sitting on his knees on the floor of the plane. While the rest of the passenger chairs are holding. Instructions are also being heard in the video to tie a seat belt.

In the video posted on a X account named Arjimand Hussain, it also wrote that the plane fell several hundred meters down while passing over the Pass. Hussain has written that he was able to capture only the last moment of this free fall.

The user has written that shortly before, instructions were given to close the glass of all the windows, and no one had any idea what was happening. However, he raised the question as to why the seat belt was warned after the condition was over?

So far no statement has been issued by SpiceJet on the matter.

First know what is free fall condition

A free fall in a plane is the condition when the plane falls in zero gravity (subject to gravity) for some time. This makes the people present in it feel that they have no weight. In simple words, the free fall of the plane is as if it is falling from the sky.

Actually it is a controlled process. Free fall conditions are due to either scientific experiment, space training or rare technical malfunction.

There are 2 types of free falls …

1. Controlled Free Fall or Parabolic Flight: This free fall is done intentionally. It is done by scientists or space agencies. In this condition the plane bends upwards, about 45 °, then the engine is closed or the thrust is reduced, causing it to fall, making perbola. Due to this, people sitting inside feel zero gravity for 20–30 seconds.

Organizations like NASA, ESA and ISRO use it for astronaut training. It is also called a vomit comate, because many people vomit this condition.

2. Unwritten Free Fall, Emergency Malfunction: When the engine of the plane fails, the air pressure falls, or the control system is not under control for some reason, the plane may fall under control. In such a situation, passengers feel a sharp shock, swinging feeling and sometimes weight being zero. However, this is a very rare condition and in most cases the pilots immediately handle the plane.
