A new twist has come in the controversy of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah of Mathura. The Supreme Court on Friday (April 4, 2025) said that it would investigate the new claim of the Hindu side to investigate the disputed structure that it is a protected monument under an ASI. On behalf of the Hindu side, Advocate Vishnu Jain said in the court that the conservation of the disputed structure is conducting archaeological survey, so there cannot be a mosque there.
