BJP has made Rekha Gupta the Chief Minister of Delhi. Pravesh Verma has been made deputy there. Rekha Gupta was born on 19 July 1974 in Julana, Haryana. She has been an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. His political career started from Daulat Ram College, Delhi University. In the year 1992, she joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
Delhi’s new CM Rekha Gupta worked as Secretary of Daulat Ram College in the year 1994-95 and later in 1995-96 Delhi University Students Union. She then became the president of DUSU in 1996-97. The Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha has been held as Secretary of Delhi from 2003-2004. In 2007 and 2012, he went to gram as a councilor of North Pitampura (Ward-54). After becoming a city councilor, she was made the chairman of the Women’s Welfare and Child Development Committee from 2007-2009.
Rekha Gupta has been elected MLA (from Shalimar Bagh) for the first time in Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Earlier, she entered the Delhi Assembly in 2015, but Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bandna Kumari defeated her by more than 10,000 votes. After this, in the year 2020 too, he was defeated by Bandana Kumari by 3440 votes. Rekha Gupta was constantly associated with the general public during her political career and during this time she participated in many political and social programs.
