In August last year, the students started a movement against reservation, which stopped at the rise of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government. The reins of the country came in the hands of the interim government for some time. It was expected that elections will be held in the meantime and the new democratic government would come. But something else is seen inside. Students who have set up the government have formed a political party. If they froze on political land, then New Delhi’s relationship with Dhaka can take a new turn again.
Students Against Discrimination is the same student organization that played the most important role in political change. Nahid Islam was the head of this party. He became part of the interim government after the Hasina government fell. Recently he resigned and announced to form a new political party Rashtriya Citizen Party (NCP).
He claims that he is trying to get Dhaka out of economic and political crisis. Also, they are giving the slogan of new Bangladesh. This is up to all, while there is no major party in power in this country. Even Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government, was the leader of the mass movement and is not separated with any party.
So what is changing in dhaka

They were alleging that Hasina government and her party Awami League are giving government jobs to their people. Within a few days, there was heavy violence in a confrontation between the Protestors and the supporters of the government and many deaths occurred. The movement was further enraged after this. As soon as Younus arrived, there were reports of violence on minority from the country, due to which his credibility fell at the international level.
Nothing has changed even after six months of coming to power. Nor was the election announced, which was to be held within three months according to the Constitution. Students will bring their party, it was already speculating, but it would be so soon, no one was estimated. By the way, there is also an estimate that Younus himself has secretly supported the new party so that they can also become part of it later. Many times it arose that this must have been the reason for stopping the elections to be held within three months for seven months.
What can happen now
Awami League weakened with Hasina. Many other league leaders also left the country, while many leaders were put in jail. The second major party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is also weakened. Her leader Khaleda Zia has gone to London for treatment. In a way, it is being considered as self-disdest. Some party leaders are in the country and are also doing something stirring time and time, but they are not more than the fish movement in the sea. Meanwhile, there is talk of General Elections in the country. It is estimated that this time also the about two decades of old formula can be alive, which was called minus to pattern.
In the year 2007, in the politics of Bangladesh, work was done on removing these two big parties and bringing military rule. Under this, party leaders were put in jail. Meanwhile, supporters of both parties took to the streets. Even criticism of Dhaka’s attitude started on the international stage. Only after this, the release of the leaders could be done. Now again two decades old conditions are visible. Both big parties are missing. The only difference is that instead of military rule, a new party was ready, which is of students.
It may also be that the new party breaks the two-square system of Dhaka and becomes the third political force. Small parties, who often give their support to big parties, can also join the party born of the movement. This will show political stir in Dhaka one more time, but it can also start the new chapter, which also has competition in politics, and also develops the country.
What will this change bring for India
Students Against Disquestion is the same organization that caused the coup. It may work on development for Dhaka, but for India, it continued to grow poison till recently. Sad had alleged that the Hasina government remained in power with the cooperation of India, while the public did not want it. There is frequent tension between BSF and Bangladeshi citizens on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Students say that the Indian security force kept misbehaving with their people.
