US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet Pakistan’s Field Martial General Asim Munir at the White House on Wednesday as part of a rare and shocking diplomatic initiative. This meeting is taking place at a time when there has been a tension between India and Pakistan since the Pahalgam terror attack. Currently, ceasefire agreed in both countries, but tension is still intact. Since then, Donald Trump has been continuously taking credit for ceasefire. However, India has clearly denied this on several occasions.
Meanwhile, now America has given the reason for Munir to invite lunch. According to the Reuters report, White House spokesman Anna Kelly said that President Trump called General Munir to meet because Munir recommended Trump to give the Nobel Peace Prize to stop Trump to stop the possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan.
In fact, Trump has repeatedly claimed that he stopped the possible war between India and Pakistan. He claimed, “I stopped the war between Pakistan and India. Both these are nuclear -rich countries and stood at the mouth of the fight.”
He said, “I talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last night. He is a great person. We are working on a trade agreement with India, but I stopped a big war. I think no one wrote news about it.”
India’s strict answer: no role of arbitration
However, India has rejected all these claims outright. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear through a 35 -minute call just before the meeting with Trump that the ceasefire came from a direct conversation between the forces of India and Pakistan after a clash between May 7 to 10, not by the mediation of a third party.
Giving this information, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, “India has always clarified that we do not accept the role of any third party in India-Pakistan bilateral issues. This ceasefire happened through established military channels.”
He confirmed that Trump and PM Modi had planned to meet personally during the G7 Summit in Canada, but the meeting was canceled due to the early departure of Trump amidst the increase in the Middle East crisis. Trump allegedly invited the PM to come to America while returning from Canada, but PM Modi refused due to prior commitments, and instead invited Trump to attend the summit of Quad leaders in India later this year.
Trump again repeated the melody of Madhyasta
After a clear refusal from India, Trump on Wednesday rejected the melody of taking credit for the middle of the middle. He said, “I stopped a war between Pakistan and India. I love Pakistan. Modi is a great man. I talked to him last night. We are going to make a business agreement with Modi.”
He further said, “This person (Munir) was very effective in stopping the war from the Pakistani side, and Modi was about to confront each other from the Indian side and both are nuclear-rich countries. I stopped a war between two major nuclear nations, but I don’t think a single news was published about it.”
Tension with Pakistan since Pahalgam attack
