The 38th International Surajkund Handicraft Fair in Faridabad, Haryana is starting today. The fair will be inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. CM Naib Singh Saini will also be present in it. This time, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh will have two theme states in the fair.

Entry in the fair from 10 am to 7 pm The timing for entry in the fair is kept from 10 am to 7 pm. The price of entry ticket will be Rs 120 in normal days and it will be Rs 180 on weekend. The ticket is available both online and offline. Online tickets can also be taken from the Sarathi app of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The offline ticket fair will also be found at the counter at the entry gate. Apart from this, you can also take tickets from the metro station. Students and senior citizens can also get a 50 percent discount on tickets at the week end.
600 CCTV cameras installed, number of shops increased In the fair, 600 CCTV cameras have been installed on the whip. The number of shops has been increased from 1100 to 1300. More than 1.3 million tourists arrived at the fair last year. This time more tourists are expected to arrive.
India’s biggest handicraft fair Surajkund Mela is one of the largest handicrafts fairs in India, its history is more than 35 years old. In 1987, the Haryana Tourism Department started it with the aim of encouraging Indian handicrafts, handlooms and cultural heritage. The main objective of this fair was to give a platform to craftsmen, artists and handloom weavers across the country, where they could showcase their art and reach their products directly to the customers.
