India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has gone to England to consult an expert for the treatment of injury to ‘Sports Hernia’. If necessary, their surgery can also be done.
It is not known whether his pain had increased during the Mumbai T20 League. Suryakumar was traveling continuously for three months and was playing tournaments.
33 -year -old Suryakumar scored 717 runs in the IPL for Mumbai Indians (Mi). Just after this, he also played in the Mumbai Premier League T20 tournament.
A source close to this cricketer told PTI, ‘Surya is suffering from sports hernia on the right side of the stomach. He has gone to Britain for consultation. If necessary, he will undergo surgery.
Despite his career pain, Suryakumar, who played many matches, wanted to fulfill his commitments of IPL and Mumbai T20.
A BCCI source said, “Due to no T20 cricket before August-September, Suryakumar thought that this is the best time when he can get his injury treated and the Center of Excellence (Bengaluru) will also get full time to overcome it.”
