National Scheduled Castes Commission (NCSC) State Director S. Ravivarman Victim R Ayyasami meeting at the hospital.

On February 12, a Dalit youth was attacked by three people in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu. He had a serious wound on both his hands. The victim’s family had claimed that son R Ayyasami (20) was attacked by bullet bike.

According to the family, Vinthokumar (21), Athiswaran (25) and Vallarasu (23) gave the son a caste abuses. This was then attacked with a sharp weapon. The police have arrested the three youths.

However, the police have denied the family’s claim. According to the police, the incident has been carried out due to old enmity. A case has been registered in the SC-ST Act. The investigation of the case is going on.

At the same time, on February 17, State Director of National Scheduled Castes Commission (NCSC) S. Ravivarman met the victim to reach the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai. Also provided financial assistance of Rs 62,500.

Actually, the incident is 8.30 on the night of 12 February. Ayyasami was returning to his village Melapedavur on a bullet bike. On the way, three youths of the village Vintokumar, Athijivaran and Vallararasu attacked him. Castikas abused and cut both hands of Ayyasami. The accused youth belongs to the Gamudayar (Thewar) community.

The police arrested the three by registering a case under sections of SC/ST Act.
