Tamil Nadu Fire Cracker Factory Blast: A sudden fire broke out in a cracker construction factory on Tuesday (July 1, 2025) in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. In the blast in the cracker factory, at least 5 workers, including 2 women, have died, this information has been given by the police. The blast was so strong that the entire factory was destroyed. After the blast, debris spread everywhere.
He told that this fierce fire engulfed the entire unit and many people have been injured. After the blast, the sound of smoke and firecrackers erupted from the factory was heard far and wide. Police, fire brigade and rescue services reached the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital.
Police and revenue officers involved in investigation
An official of the fire brigade and rescue department said that the fire has been controlled and the work of removing debris is going on at the moment. Revenue officers and police are investigating the case at this private cracker construction unit located at Chinnakamanpatti near Shivkashi.
Cracker construction factory is the reason for explosion
According to preliminary investigation, the explosion in the cracker construction factory occurred when the work of mixing chemicals in the factory was going on. It is believed that due to friction while mixing chemicals, there was a fire and there was a blast in the factory. The voice was so loud that people were scared even in nearby villages.
Due to the explosion, the laborers working in the factory did not get a chance to recover. Police and fire department teams reached the spot immediately started rescue work, but by then there was a lot of damage.
