A big update has come to light in the case of painful murder of a 19 -year -old girl Neha in Jyoti Nagar area of North East Delhi. Neha was allegedly thrown down from the roof by a young man named Taufiq, who was wearing a burqa, who died during treatment. Now the police have arrested the accused Taufiq from Tanda in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, at around 8:30 am, it was reported that a girl had fallen from the roof in Ashok Nagar area. The police team, who reached the spot, was told that the injured girl was taken to her father GTB Hospital.
Later, during the investigation, it was revealed that 19 -year -old Neha was deliberately pushed from the roof. Based on the statement of family and eyewitnesses, it was found that Taufiq had entered Neha’s house building wearing a burqa, and there was a fight between the two on the roof over something, after which he threw Neha down.
Action so far
Taking immediate cognizance of the case, the police station Jyoti Nagar police registered a case under Section 109 (1)/351 (2) of the Code of India. Taufiq was identified based on CCTV footage, phone call records, and other technical evidence. After this, several teams of Delhi Police were deployed and the accused was arrested from Tanda in Rampur.
Police say that Taufiq is being questioned and efforts are being made to find out whether there was a pre -planned conspiracy of the incident or this step was taken in a mutual debate. Neha’s death has created a wave of anger and resentment in the area. Local people have alleged that the accused was already harassing Neha and threatened earlier.
