The Indian cricket team refused to take the award from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi after winning the Asia Cup 2025. Naqvi is the Home Minister of Pakistan.

The Indian team was standing on one side of the stage and the Pakistani team was also standing on the other side.
When Team India did not come to take the trophy, presenter Simon Dool said that India has refused to take its awards and hence this presentation ceremony is finished here. Then Naqvi went away. Team India had made it clear that it would not take a trophy or awards from any Pakistani. Naqvi was insulted by Team India in this way. After this, Team India took photographs without the Asia Cup-2025 Trophy.

BCCI Secretary said that ICC will complain about Naqvi BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia told ANI-We had decided that the Indian team would not take the trophy from any official of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The PCB Chief is the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council, so our players did not accept the trophy or medal from him.
