New Delhi: The Indian cricket team, which won the ICC Champions Trophy, is going to rain crores. The BCCI has announced a reward of Rs 58 crore for the Indian cricket team. India won the Champions Trophy by defeating New Zealand on 9 March.
Rohit Sharma -led Indian team defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final to win the Champions Trophy title for the third time. This financial prize will cover the members of the Male Selection Committee headed by the players, coaching and support staff and Ajit Agarkar. The board did not give a detailed description of the reward in its statement. BCCI President Roger Binny said in a release, “It is special to win two consecutive ICC titles and this reward recognizes dedication and excellence on the global stage of Team India.”
