New Delhi: India will have to play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals on the tour of Bangladesh from August 17, but due to the current political situation, the possibility of this tour seems less. Meanwhile, a big thing is coming out about this visit by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
After the 19th board meeting held at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on 30 June, BCB chief Aminul Islam told the media,
We have a positive conversation with BCCI. It is not necessary that we do the series in August or September, we are talking about how the series can be held. If it is not possible now, then we will organize it at some other time. BCCI is waiting for approval from his government.
This would have been the first T20 series when Bangladesh would host India’s bilateral series at home ground. The most recent T20I series between the two teams was in 2024, when Bangladesh visited India and the hosts had won 3–0 easier.
