Telangana Government Meeting Over Andhra Pradest Godavari banakacherla project CM Revanth Reddy Meet Union Minister Ann

Godavari-Banakacherla Link Project: The Telangana government called a meeting of MPs of all parties in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, on Wednesday (June 18) to discuss the Godavari-Banakcherla link project proposed by Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy met Union Water Power Minister CR Patil in a hurry in Delhi.

However, G. Kishan Reddy was also sent an invitation to attend the meeting, but he chose to meet Patil in Delhi, while two other BJP MPs attended the meeting. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy’s decision to meet the Union Minister rather than the state meeting reflects the seriousness of the situation and highlights the BJP’s challenging situation in Telangana politics.

Controversy has arisen between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh over project

With the increase in tension between the Telugu states (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) on the Godavari-Bankharla project, it is becoming difficult for the BJP to balance. The party is constantly getting stronger in Telangana, while the BJP is part of the ruling coalition in Andhra Pradesh. This dual situation creates a complex challenge, as the central government is an officer approved by this project, on which disputes have spread in both the states.

A all -party delegation from Telangana will meet PM Modi

After the all -party meeting, it became clear that the Congress strategically targeting BRS and indirectly targeting the BJP. Telangana Chief Minister A.K. Revanth Reddy blamed the former BRS government for the audacity of Andhra Pradesh regarding the Godavari-Bankharla project. He assured the MPs that an all -party delegation of the state will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urge the Center not to approve the project.

Investigation will be done on receiving complete proposal from the state, then action will be taken- Union Minister of Water Power

The center’s attitude is also cautious. Telangana irrigation minister N. In response to Uttam Kumar Reddy’s letter, Union Water Power Minister CR Patil assured the procedural correctly. Patil said, “The matter has been investigated. A detailed proposal of the Godavari-Banakcharla scheme has not yet been received. On receiving the proposal from the state government, the Central Water Commission will examine the existing guidelines, the decisions of the tribunal, the decisions of the Tribunal, the inter-state agreements and the APRA 2014 according to the provisions. After this, appropriate action will be taken after this.”

BJP MP accused Telangana government of cheating people

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dharna Puri Arvind accused the Telangana government of cheating the people and farmers of Telangana and said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is adopting a double attitude in this matter. On the one hand, he is going to Delhi to go to Delhi and infamity to the central government by pretending to pressurize the central government to provide water from Krishna and Godavari to Telangana, while the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his political guru Chandrababu Naidu has not written a single letter in this regard, which clearly shows that he is not at all serious in this matter, but is doing politics.

He said that “the central government is investigating all aspects of the Banakcherala issue, so that the party’s strategy and local concerns will be maintained.”
