The Telangana government took a major decision in view of the month of Ramadan. Under this, during the month of Ramadan, all the government Muslim employees, teachers, contract employees, outsourcing and public sector employees of the state have been given a special discount.

The BJP has criticized this decision of the state government. BJP leader Amit Malviya said why such exemption is not given during Hindu festivals. BJP MLA Raja Singh has described this order as a politics of appeasement.

Under the order of the government, these employees have been allowed to leave their offices and schools from 2 March to 31 pm. However, along with these instructions have also been given that if an employee needs more work, then he will have to stay in the office.

This order has been issued by Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari.

He said that while targeting the Congress government, he said that Muslim employees seem to be permission to leave soon and ignore Hindu festivals.

The BJP has criticized the Telangana government’s decision. BJP leader Amit Malviya described this order as an attempt to please the Muslim community. He said that during Hindu festivals like Navratri, Hindu employees do not get any such exemption. He described it as vote bank politics and talked about protesting.

Senior BJP leader P Muralidhar Rao also alleged against the Chief Minister that he was giving priority to a section of the society. He said that the exemption being given for Muslim employees during Ramadan was not given during Navratri or Jain festivals, which is not a respect for religious practices but part of vote bank politics.
