Due to heavy rains on Srisailam Ghat Road in Telangana, a major accident was averted. On the road leading to the Srisailam Project Vyupoint to Patalganga, large stones fell from the hill and fell on the main road, causing the movement of vehicles on the national highway to come to a complete standstill.
This incident created an atmosphere of tension in the area, as this route is important for pilgrims and local people. Due to heavy rains, landslide situation arose in the mountainous region, due to which the stone rolled on the road. Local people and passengers said that this route is already risky due to dark and poor road design at night.

Fortunately, at the time when the stone fell, there was no vehicle or passenger on the road, due to which a big accident was averted. Local police and disaster management teams reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. He started the work of removing stones lying on the road with the help of heavy machines.
After several hours of hard work, the road was partially opened to traffic, but needs more time for complete improvement. The administration has warned that there is a need to take precautions on the ghat road during the rainy season. Local people have demanded the administration that regular monitoring and maintenance should be done on this route so that such incidents do not happen in future.

He also demanded to install roadside security walls and warning boards. The police have appealed to the passengers to avoid traveling on this route during the rains and follow the traffic rules.
