A petition of 10 former BRS MLAs from Telangana was heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday. During this, the Supreme Court reprimanded Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on a statement. Revanth Reddy, while addressing 10 MLAs in the Telangana Assembly on March 26, said that no by -elections are going to be held in the state.
The court said that we do not mind the statement of the leaders. Like we respect the other two pillars of democracy. This is what they expect from the leaders. Therefore, the Chief Minister should also keep restraint. Hearing this petition, Justice B.K. R. The bench of Gawai and Justice Augustin George Christ did. The bench said if we made a mistake, when we did not take any action against you to contempt the court.
The court said this on the Delhi liquor policy case. Revant rebuked Revanth Reddy, citing the controversial statement on the poem. Actually last year Revanth Reddy questioned Kavita on receiving Bell. Revanth had said that on one hand it took 15 months for Manish Sisodia to get the bail, while Kavita got a bail in 5 months. It seems that there is an agreement between BRS and BJP.
