Revanth Reddy Meets PM Modi: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 26, 2025). During this, he sought cooperation from the Center for separate projects pending in the state. He also urged him to approve the second phase of Hyderabad Metro and talked about some other subjects.
According to the press release issued by the Information Department of the Telangana government, Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Modi at his official residence. The release said, “The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the second phase of railway project, under which there will be a 76.4 km route in Hyderabad.” The Chief Minister urged to approve the metro rail project of 24,269 crore. . Apart from this, Reddy also urged the Prime Minister to approve the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and the ‘Semiconductor Mission’.
A meeting lasted for an hour
During the meeting that lasted for about an hour, the Chief Minister also informed the Prime Minister about the ongoing rescue operation in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Nagarakurnul district. Many agencies of the state and central government are engaged in a campaign to save eight people stranded after a part of the tunnel collapsed on 22 February.
Earlier, the Prime Minister spoke to the Chief Minister on the phone on 22 February after the tunnel accident. He took information about the incident and assured all possible help from the Center for the rescue operation.

Discussion about Telangana budget
During Wednesday’s meeting, Revanth Reddy, along with Information Technology and Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu, also asked the Prime Minister about the lack of allocation for Telangana in the Union Budget of 2025-26. The Chief Minister also urged Prime Minister Modi to support the proposed infrastructure and development projects in the state.
