For this, the company is thinking of setting up a complete knock -down down (CKD) assembly plant. The company has also started searching for land in India for this assembly plant.
Where will Tesla’s plant be set up?
According to a report by Business Standard, Tesla, the world’s most rich man’s electric car company Tesla, is looking for land for the assembly plant in Satara, Maharashtra. This will be a CKD plant where parts of electric cars will be brought separately and will be assembled here. This will help in keeping the price of the vehicle low.
Earlier, Tesla had discussed for a possible joint venture with Hyderabad -based Megha Engineering. However, the report quoted sources as saying that in this conversation with Megha Engineering, no decision or agreement could be reached. Apart from this, Tesla was also in touch with some other companies of the country, but no deal has been finalized so far.
The first showroom will open in Mumbai:
A few days ago there was news that Tesla has finalized a deal to start his first showroom at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. The Tehz company has rented 4,000 square feet on the ground floor of a commercial tower in BKC. It is being told that its monthly fare is Rs 900 per sq ft. Which will be around 35 lakh rupees per month.
When will Tesla’s car be launched?
According to Money Control, Tesla can officially enter the Indian market by April next year. That is, next year the company can launch its first car in the Indian market. A few days ago, the company had filed home -ologist applications for Model Y and Model 3 in India. If these applications are accepted, Tesla will get approval to launch these cars in India.
